Match Day 1 of the 2018 International Saimoe League Sapphire Period has concluded. In the Female Division, Kamui Kanna flattened Aqua 4976-2254, Taiga Aisaka won the closest race of the round, a 3404-3392 thriller over Schwi Dola, Yui Yuigahama defeated Ayase Aragaki 3602-3042, Rem prevailed over Tomoyo Daidouji 3636-3290, Kaori Miyazono eased past Sagiri Izumi 3510-3350, and Yuki Nagato won the Upset of the Round, a 3282-3084 scalp of Yoshino.
In the Male Divison, Hachiman Hikigaya routed Izaya Orihara 5186-993, Tomoya Okazaki defeated Yato 3293-2558, Edward Elric whipped past Yuu Otosaka 3137-2596, Levi leveled Shizuo Heiwajima 4318-2379, Saitama punched Eren Yeager 3621-2543 and Ken Kaneki fell to Kousei Arima 2520-2223.
In Spring Seasonal action, Suzuha Amane defeated Choco 3065-2600, Teresa Wagner belted Miyu Shinohara 2631-1850, Mu dominated Koyume Koizuka 2901-2132, Special Week stormed past Maho Hiyajou 2543-2360, Karen Kohiruimaki, a favorite to win the Spring Diadem, bowled past Hina 3507-2037, Kaoruko Moeta won a 2326-2174 snoozer over Silence Suzuka 2326-2174, Ochako Uraraka, another contender for the diadem, delivered a 3164-2029 hiding of Ruki Irokawa and Narumi Momose prevailed over Airi 2159-2006.
In exhibition action, Gon Feecss defeated Aladdin 2060-1964, Yoko Littner won a 3069-3023 barnburner over Ryuuko Matoi 3069-3023, Mima Kirigoe defeatred Tsukiko Sagi 2471-1808, Sakuno Uryuu defeated Kaede Fuyou 2002-1862, Winry Rockbell whipped past Kagura 3248-3053, Alice Carroll slaughtered 2821-2044, Asuka Kudou prevailed over Kanade Suzutsuki 2136-2014, Tensai Ikkyuu overpowered Akane Houzuki 2905-2086, Izuna Hatsuse dismantled Alicia Rue 3697-1911 and Last Order routed Ushio Okazaki 3331-2265.
